Space planning is not just about arranging blocks of space along a concourse. It is about having the correct amount of space in the correct location. This is where the demand analysis is important. No two airports are alike so it is important as an airport operator to know your passengers and what their needs and wants are. Further, the mix of tenants and concepts has to be carefully diagnosed and planned. One of the greatest reasons for business failures on the street is being in an inferior location. This too is true in airports and other non-traditional venues.
